bio / elle dahms
Elle Dahms is an interdisciplinary artist whose work includes sound, video, performance, and poetry. Dahms earned a B.S. from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University and is currently working on an artistic thesis (M.A.) at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University. Dahms lives and works in Queens, NY.
Lilies

Lilies is a performance of impulses: to grasp, to crush, to fold, to cut, to stretch. Paper becomes lily. Lily becomes body. Lilies begins at the places where bodies meet.
Video series, 2024
An intimate exploration of space. The table is the stage upon which the self is formed and re-formed through acts ritual and taboo, moments seen and unseen, inhabiting the lack that arises in the absence of another. The series seeks to probe what new desires emerge from isolation, and how those desires manifest in both the inner and outer worlds of the self. Grounded in the home, these manifestations are decidedly personal and a part of ritual of seeking to become whole again.
